SACRAMENTO VALLEY CHAPTER 99s:
FLYING ANGELS MEMORIAL AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP 

We honor our "Flying Angels" who were members of the Sacramento Valley Ninety-Nines, and who have flown on to New Horizons. Some of these amazing ladies flew in Powder Puff Derbys, were awarded Women Pilot of the Year, held positions on the chapter's Board of Directors, and even Governor! We wish to fondly remember Shirley Lehr (2000), Betty Alair (2000), Juanita Bailey (2010), Corky Cronin (2015), Fran Dickey (2017), Dorothy Flynn (2018), Penny Nagy (2018), and Kristine James (2018).

The applicant must be a female who is actively pursuing flight training, has soloed and passed her FAA Written Examination and must live within 99 NM of Sacramento Executive Airport. Applicant should be prepared to undergo a personal interview at Sacramento Executive Airport.


NINETY-NINES INT'L and CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIPS

The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1940 to help deserving members to further their accomplishments. Over 800 scholarships have been awarded, plus more than 300 awards have gone to student pilots earning their first certificate.
